# Sumitomo HTR Z III – High-Performance Summer Tire Designed for sports cars, sporty coupes, and high-performance sedans, the Sumitomo HTR Z III delivers confident handling and strong grip on both dry and wet roads. As a max-performance summer tire, it excels in warm conditions but should not be used in temperatures near freezing or on snow and ice. ## Advanced Tread Design for Control and Durability The HTR Z III features a 5-rib asymmetric tread pattern with a silica-enhanced compound for improved traction and even wear. Large outer tread blocks and continuous center ribs enhance steering response and high-speed stability. Inside, a dedicated circumferential rib helps maintain consistent contact, especially on vehicles with independent suspension or negative camber alignment, promoting longer tread life and reduced road noise. Wide circumferential and lateral grooves efficiently channel water away, reducing the risk of hydroplaning and improving wet-weather safety. ## Rigid Construction for Precision Performance Built with wide steel belts and a spiral-wrapped polyamide layer, the tire maintains tread stability at high speeds. The polyester casing and reinforced sidewalls balance ride comfort with sharp handling and lateral support, making it a reliable choice for performance-oriented drivers seeking control and durability in summer conditions..
